Safe-T Fire Protection began serving the Metro Atlanta area over 35 years ago based in Tucker, GA. In the 1990s, our base of operations moved to Dacula, GA where we added to our fleet and field team.
Adding To The Company’s Fleet & Team
In 2008, Jacob Slaughter joined the Safe-T team as a shop tech working for his uncle, the owner, maintaining the fleet vehicles and inventory in the barn on their home/office property. Later that year he gained his fire extinguisher technician permit and officially began working in the field. In 2010, he earned his GA permit for servicing and installing kitchen hood suppression systems. This helped substantially grow Safe-T Fire Protection as a company, and within the next year, Jacob was promoted to Service Manager. He managed the service team for two years while also managing his service route. Finally, business growth brought him into the office completely in 2014.
Moving Up The Safe-T Ladder
Jacob stepped into the Business Operations Manager role in 2017 as his uncle stepped into semi-retirement. Through the years, Jacob grew to love the fire protection industry and learned the ins and outs of managing and owning this type of business under the watchful eye of his uncle. With the blessings and support of his family, Jacob purchased Safe-T Fire Protection from his uncle in 2019, and moved the fire protection and safety business to a commercial space in Buford. In 2020, Safe-T Fire Protection expanded its service area to also include the state of South Carolina.
With 100% employment retention through this transition and exponential growth, Jacob and his team have served the greater half of the Southeastern United States educating and training others about fire protection and safety. Ever since the company’s inception, Jacob and his team have also geared their energy towards implementing new processes and updated technology to better serve their customers and stay competitive in the industry.
